Height2Tex for ARK: Survival Ascended Mapping
Welcome to Height2Tex for ARK: Survival Ascended World Mapping!
Mapping for ASA can be a challenge. With the Height2Tex Tool, you can quickly generate all needed masks for your landscape material using your own sculpted landscape. This tool will also generate painting masks to help kickstart paint coverage of your map, eliminating the difficult process of hand painting your whole project.
What you can make?
1) Basic paint layer masks
2) Flow and wave/foam masks
3) Ocean Biome zone masks
4) Landscape material masks
Requirements:
1) Exported Landscape Heightmap
2) Substance Player (free tool: https://helpx.adobe.com/substance-3d-player.html)

How to use it?
1) Export your heightmap with the export function of the Landscape Mode
2) Open up Substance Player and load my "Hight2Tex Tool"
3) You see now the option to load the heightmap - Load it
4) Tweak the values, if needed 5) Export to bitmaps (use PNG as file format)
6) Back in the devkit use the import function of the Landscape Mode to load the exported Material Masks (use the Resample Option for the import)
7) Build the RuntimeVirtualTextures and the Grassmaps (if needed)
8) Start painting the final version of your Map!
Limitations:
The "Hight2Tex Tool" is primarily made with Heightmap Ranges similar to the TheIsland. It is not a Tool to get the FINAL Landscape Look. It is made to expedite the initial process of map creation and landscape painting
